Kevin Slavin is the Managing Director and co-founder of Area/Code. Before founding Area/Code, Slavin spent over 10 years in ad agencies including DDB, TBWAChiatDay and SS+K, focused primarily on technology, networks, and community. His work has been recognized through many industry awards and press.
Slavin has spoken at the BBC, Ad Age, 5D, MoMA, the Van Alen Institute, the Guardian, DLD, the Cooper Union, the Storefront for Art and Architecture, and NBC, and together with Adam Greenfield he teaches Urban Computing at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. His work has been exhibited internationally, including the Design Museum of London and the Frankfurt Museum fuer Moderne Kunst.
